I'm so fed up of maintaining this catheter now. Cancer is such a demoralising, exhausting and infantalising disease. I'd like to hang around long enough to hold the #SummerRealm trilogy paperbacks in my hands, but occasionally I'm ready for it all to be over.

Well that was an exhausting hour. Spent ages doing a tiny poo #constipation, then I had to clear lots of cancer gunk out of my catheter and change the collection bag. Slootly zorsted now. Nap time.

Morphine may well ease your pains, but it also makes you sleepy and gives you constipation. Might try coming off it after speaking to my GP.

Hey, guess what? Another big block overnight. These cancer clots are a right nuisance now. Had to get the big syringe to squirt 25ml sterile water up into myself, then suck it out again along with big clots. This may have to be a daily occurrence henceforth.

Another big clot blockage.😕 I cleared it eventually using a massive irrigation syringe that the wonderful Dr. Zahid gave me yesterday. Scary as hell, sucking stuff out of your own bladder, but by crikey it worked. Lots of manky black cancer clots removed.

Cleared it myself with careful catheter massage *just* as the lovely District Nurses arrived. They helped change my bag and confirm all was flowing, and gave useful advice. Cue pointless guilt.
Anyway, let's see if I can get some sleep.
