I used to see Dame Maggie Smith in Waitrose in Chichester on an almost daily basis in the 90s, but didn't recognise her until she was interviewed in (I think) the Radio Times & mentioned shopping there. Looked at the photo & thought, oh, it's that woman we always see at Waitrose.
