One of my favourite things about #CelticKnot2024 was that it wasn't a Strictly Academic Conference and brought people from all kinds of backgrounds together. Meeting @hoganddice.bsky.social was a high point for me! Thanks for all the chats!

You can tell I really got into a lot of the talks at the #celticknot2024 conference by the fact that I actually finished off this journal!
I had a lot of fun at this, I learned a lot and made some new friends.
I have a lot of thoughts coming out of it, so expect a video later.

Our final update at #celticknot2024 was from Srishti Sethi (WMF) who gave us an update on Wikipedia Language Incubation. She shared the success story of the launch of Kadazandusun language Wikipedia this year and also shared this research from the Language Diversity Hub: tinyurl.com/3w54b4es

Galder Galder Gonzalez Larrañaga from Euskarazko Wikipedia took us through a history of the Basque Country in 100 objects. This GLAM project uses Wikipedia to tell a story, ask different questions and improve knowledge of Basque heritage. #CelticKnot2024

The last Keynote but by no means least is @mglass.bsky.social speaking about the power of virtual communities, like #Vicipéid, as breathing spaces to build and strengthen minority languages 💪 #celticknot2024
