What feels immediate at first begins to shift as it moves, revealing something more grounded beneath the surface. Not less intense, just more controlled. There is weight here, but it doesn’t press down. It circulates. Riffs return in altered forms, ideas reappear from different angles, echoes of old Scottish air moving beneath them. Moments of speed cut through sharply, but they don’t define the whole. What stays is the sense of something being shaped in real time, held, tightened, then released again. Nothing feels isolated. Everything moves within the same current, pulling you further inside. You don’t arrive at it. You are caught somewhere inside its movement. Verdict: 8/10 It doesn’t break open. With "Loss", GAEREA do not reveal themselves. They move closer through it. The sound carries weight, but it feels nearer this time, harder to escape. Fragments appear and dissolve. Melodies stretch into the distance, then return altered. Riffs open space before closing in again, never settling into one form. The voice follows, not as an identity, but as something breaking and reforming, trying to recognize itself and failing. Nothing here feels fixed.
