(askanews) - È uno dei produttori più famosi di Hollywood, ha prodotto film da Oscar come "Oppenheimer" e altri grandi successi di Christopher Nolan come la trilogia de "Il cavaliere oscuro" (The Dark Knight) , "Batman Begins" e altri titoli che hanno ottenuto grande successo, da "L'esercito delle 12 scimmie" ad "American Hustle", a film di supereroi come "Wonder Woman" e "L'uomo d'acciaio". Charles Roven è tornato a Taormina dove nel 2013 presentò il Superman "Man of Steel", "L'uomo d'acciao", per essere premiato dal suo interprete Henry Cavill, e ha parlato tra le altre cose di uno dei registi con cui ha più lavorato, Christopher Nolan e di cosa cerca nei film che sceglie di produrre. "Il film che amo di più o di cui sono più fiero? Beh è molto difficile dirlo - ha spiegato ad askanews - è come scegliere il proprio figlio preferito, non credo di averne uno solo, probabilmente ho una lista di preferiti. Ovviamente ho un debole per 'Oppenheimer', perché ha vinto l'Oscar ed è andato molto bene. Ma sono molto orgoglioso anche della trilogia de 'Il Cavaliere Oscuro', 'American Hustle' e 'L'esercito delle 12 scimmie'....Potrei continuare". "E sono fortunato ad avere un grande team che ha contribuito a rendere questi film memorabili, è meraviglioso quando la gente viene da te e ti dice: 'Ho visto quel film e mi è piaciuto molto e l'ho rivisto molte molte volte". E sul regista Christopher Nolan ha detto: "Lo considero un grande e un mio stretto collaboratore, insieme a sua moglie Emma Thomas, che è anche una grande produttrice, quindi mi piacerebbe lavorare di nuovo insieme ma al momento non c'è nulla di programmato. Se lui, o lei, creano un'idea da soli, non hanno davvero bisogno di me ma vedremo". Nei film che produce si concentra soprattutto sui personaggi: "Cerco personaggi avvincenti, che vuoi guardare sullo schermo, personaggi di cui ti innamori. Non devono essere necessariamente perfetti, possono avere dei difetti, tutti abbiamo dei difetti, quindi se hai un personaggio che intriga anche con i suoi difetti, crea più contatto col pubblico, più capacità di relazionarcisi. Inoltre - ha raccontato - si cerca sempre di non far sapere al pubblico dove si sta andando con il viaggio del film. Quando riesci a farlo e il pubblico ti fa sapere che è contento del viaggio che ha fatto, ma che non sapeva quale sarebbe stato prima di arrivarci, è una grande soddisfazione".
