Marlies’ Robert Mastrosimone had signed a one-year, one-way AHL contract with the Charlotte Checkers.

The thought around the Marlies was that he’d be the next call-up. He’s also a former second round draft pick by Detroit.

This was a very fun, very chippy, and very tense Calder Cup Final game in Charlotte.
