I went to #Chawton Primary school for one year (in between Dad's overseas postings & before boarding school). The people of that village and that school were kind to me and I still have an affection for it. #Community fixes everything, or at least makes it better.

We walked around Chawton earlier; Jane Austen’s house is on the left, Chawton House that was owned by her brother is the other. We’re 1/2 a mile down the lane at the end of the village or we can pop out of our field onto the public footpath & through the woods #janeausten #chawton
