Five years ago today I got the call nobody wants to get: “You have cancer”! And just like that my whole life changed. Two years of biopsies, chemo, lumpectomy, radiation and more chemo, transfusions, scans, but here I am, a survivor and life is good. 💪

lying in a hospital bed four years ago getting ready for my lumpectomy. this was during Covid and nobody was allowed to be with me. I’m wearing a beanie, glasses, a face mask and a hospital gown and I’m hooked up to numerous wires. the lumpectomy was successful and I still have my boobies. Grateful!

flashback to July 12, 2021 as I was getting prepped for my lumpectomy. it’s been a tough road, but here we are four years later and I’m doing well. 💪🏻

Off for a breast screening appointment this morning. I’m not looking forward to it (it’s an uncomfortable procedure), but I am looking forward to the peace of mind I trust it will bring. My mum had breast cancer last year so I know how scary it can be.

I've spent most of my day at the 'one stop' breast clinic set up to quickly run diagnostic tests for people who spot symptoms. Last time I was here, I ended up in surgery three days later. Today, I've been discharged 🥳
