When communities in Córdoba told WCK’s #ChefsForColombia teams they wanted to start cooking for themselves, we listened. We shifted our efforts from hot meals to supporting community kitchens with deliveries of locally popular ingredients so residents can prepare comforting meals they know & love.
When Isauth joined WCK’s #ChefsForColombia team as a volunteer, he was living with a friend because his home in Montería had flooded. Although he doesn’t know when he’ll be able to return home, he shows up every day—helping prepare meals, distribute food kits & lift spirits across his community.
Rafael is not new to disaster response in Colombia—he’s been responding to floods & displacement in his region for 15+ years. Now, he’s working with WCK teams to support flood-impacted families in Córdoba with food kits & making sure members of his community feel supported & seen. #ChefsForColombia
WCK’s #ChefsForColombia teams are doing everything we can to ensure families impacted by the floods get the support they need. Many roads in La Palma are still flooded, limiting residents' access to food, so we brought hot meals from local restaurant partners directly to the hardest hit communities.
