When a massive black fin pops up, you'd be forgiven for thinking you might have an orca, but it's a couple of #humpbacks rolling round sideways ๐๐ณ.

Just some #whales splashing around just off the coast. ๐ณ๐

An amazing day of #WhaleWatching - around 100 #humpbacks came right along the shore at #CheynesBeach on their migration north. They are so utterly awesome. #whales #MammalWatching #WildOz #WesternAustralia
It's astonishing to think how close we came to losing #whales altogether, but global consensus on protecting them turned the corner, and populations are recovering. There are few more awe-inspiring moments than encountering these giants up close. ๐ณ๐

A lot of #mammals make themselves very hard to find. Not this humpback, though - this one wants everyone to know it's around. ๐๐ณ #Whales #MammalWatching #WhaleWatching #CheynesBeach
Just a few photos from my #whale watching today. Since it's the start of the migration season, from the south to the north, there weren't many.
I'm not savvy with sea birds, so I'm guessing with Google. Possibly a northern (Hall's) giant petrel? ๐คทโโ๏ธ
