Piece shows a otter standing in the centre of the page hands near a chine colle applied shape made to look like a pouch of fabric and a stick. It's similar in shape to those stereotypically shown as being utilized in depictions of homeless people before a certain point in time.

Another piece of mine from that project. Was later improved upon but, there's something about this one I like. Piece is called 'Nomad Otter' and is from the impact landscape/human impact project I did for my BA project.

I am excited that my idea to letterpress onto red tissue paper before gluing it on to the print seems to have worked. This technique is called chine colle, but I will have to call this letterpress chine collee!

I was able to timelapse the process for a few of my prints. You can see when I gave up on the scalpel and switched to scissors FIN

The moisture from the glue keeps the paper in place, then you feed the print & plate through the press. It’s a great way to add a pop of colour to your print! This is me diluting some PVA (wood glue) with water. It starts lumpy but then loosens with constant stirring 2/ 🏷️ #chinecolle #processvideo
