Mountain etching No.4: Grande Casse, Vanoise Massif, France.

I haven't been to the French Alps so far, neither for hiking nor skiing. These regions tempt me to change that. The high contrast made the Grande Casse a perfect motif.

A drypoint etched print in pink depicting a otter standing in the centre of the plate. The Otter is looking off to the right of the viewer and is presently clutching a stick.

Another otter print from my university project from my BA, its a drypoint print in pink. I noticed it looked like it was holding a stick and elected to leave that as it was as I like how it look!

Piece shows a otter standing in the centre of the page hands near a chine colle applied shape made to look like a pouch of fabric and a stick. It's similar in shape to those stereotypically shown as being utilized in depictions of homeless people before a certain point in time.

Another piece of mine from that project. Was later improved upon but, there's something about this one I like. Piece is called 'Nomad Otter' and is from the impact landscape/human impact project I did for my BA project.

A drypoint etched print of a coal tit perching on a train track rail. The coal tit peers at the viewer with its head turned side on, one foot slightly further foward and one further back. The coal tits head is shown with its shock of black feathers, as are the wings.

A Coal tit print I produced during the same project as the otters, Human impact/impact landscapes. This drypoint etched print later went on to be built on by me using Chine-collé

A drypoint print of a rabbit without a background. The rabbit sits in the centre of the image staring off to the left of the viewer with their ears up and attentitive. The rabbit is shown to be sat down slouched sligthly to the left.

One of my older drypoint prints, this one being my rabbit print without background. I produced this a bit earlier into my exploration of the print medium, like how it turned out!

A drypoint etched print of a badger climbing upon a stone near the center of the piece. The stone has been kept as mainly a line image with shadows shown by hatched areas of block colour. The badger's also primarily a line image with shadows and black fur picked out with block colour through drypoint etched hatching.
