We were all saddened to hear that Chip Taylor had passed away. Perhaps best known as the songwriter of the Troggs’ 1966 anthem “Wild Thing,” Chip played Hardly Strictly in 2005 and 2006 with longtime collaborator Carrie Rodriguez.

I was this many years old when I learned #WildThing, originally recorded by The Wild Ones, was written by #ChipTaylor - born James Wesley Voight, brother of Jon Voight and uncle of Angelina Jolie... he also wrote "Angel of the Morning"... he died yesterday at 86... #RIP
