I'm switching my #DesktopEnvironment (DE) from #CinnamonDE to #Xfce not just 'cause Xfce uses less system resources but also 'cause its internal #search called Catfish allows, unlike the built in search fond in other #Linux DEs, the ability to due #AdvancedSearch using #NaturalLanguage.
#CinnamonDE couldn't implement some of the tweaks I've tried to implement & the rest it could only do so in a partial or not cohesive enough for me way. & through research I've learnt most are native to #Xfce & the rest can easily be implemented cohesively with it. #Linux #ComputerUpgrade ...
The latest #LMDE7 update brought #CinnamonDE 6.6.4 with a revamped #AppMenu that doesn't render correctly for folks like me that're using the #MojaveLightTheme. Solution for us is to install the #ClassicMenu #CinnamonApplet (cinnamon-spices.linuxmint.com/applets/view...). #Linux #LinuxNews
