One afternoon, about 16 years ago, I decided to walk the old scenic railroad grade between the #CliffHouse and site of the old #SutroBaths towards #BakerBeach and the adjacent famous suspension bridge. All of a sudden, this unexpected view stopped me. #LadyLuck

A dramatic cliffside house with cantilevered concrete volumes jutting over the sea. Warm interior light glows against the rugged stone base, blending modern minimalism with the natural Mediterranean coastline.

The suspension bridge, approximately 160 feet long. It hung 25-30 feet above the sand or water, depending on the tide. 

On April 6, 1884, two boys began swinging both ends of the bridge, causing it to flip over & resulted in 35-40 people being injured.
