The central heathland on the Cliffe (rhymes with life!), one of the Nesscliffe hills in central north Shropshire.
A glorious lunchtime on the #Cliffe with massed ranks of migrating swallows, buzzards and ravens circling overhead, and many butterflies on the wing. The bracken bashing really seems to be making a difference, too, with more heather on the central heath than I've seen previously 💜

The Cliffe (rhymes with 'life'!) is an area of lowland heath and an ancient Oak woodland in north Shropshire located in the Nesscliffe Hills.
So good to be back on the #Cliffe for the first time in 2025 this afternoon. The sun was warming, there were glorious views in every direction, and I heard my first singing Chiffchaff of the year. Perfect👌
