A single green bottle, placed on a rock at Tilbury's Clinker Beach. The bottle is empty apart from moisture and mud from the river. It is lit from behind. The bottle is square rather than round in shape.

A brick photographed at Tilbury's Clinker Beach, a section of the north shore of the River Thames. The brick is almost intact and is marked Durex. It sists on pebbles and sea-weed. It was manufactured by Stanley Brothers in Nuneaton, who made bricks, apparently, until the 1960s. Durex is the words Durable and Excellent joined in shortened form to make a snappy title.

Is this stone age contraception ? A brick (most of it) seen at Tilbury's Clinker Beach (photo taken 12/4/2016). #photograph #photography #photo #Durex #brick #ClinkerBeach

The upper half of a bottle, marked Brylcreem, laid on a base of stained and rough wood. Brylcreem was a gentleman's requisite during the earlier part of the 20th century, worn by sleazy people with affectations of sophistication and sold by back street chemists. Seen at Tilbury's Clinker Beach.

Today's rubbish photo: a filthy bottle - a "gentleman's requisite". The height of sophistication if you're a Rees Mogg. #photography #photograph #photo #bottle #rubbish #ClinkerBeach

The lower part of a "Beefex" bottle; Beefex was a 1930s competitor to Bovril. The part bottle is pitted and faded by decades in the River Thames, at Tilbury's Clinker Beach, a stretch of shoreline exposed by the river's tides at the edge of a disused landfill site, that took garbage and building rubble fro east London.

Today's rubbish photo...a fragment of a Beefex bottle, from Tilbury's Clinker Beach. A competitor to Bovril "in a chubby, homely bottle"...2oz of boiled down cow. #photograph #photography #photo #Beefex #rubbish #ClinkerBeach

A glass top, perhaps from a jar or container, on top of a concrete wall, with a background of out of focus highlights, or bokeh. Taken at Tilbury's Clinker Beach, an exposed stretch of landfill site on the north bank of the River Thames. The photograph is deeply pretentious. It is rubbish.

Yet another from my 'series' of rubbish photos, here is the Whoop-Di-Doo portal, leading to a land where grooviness abounds. #rubbish #ClinkerBeach #photograph #photography #photo #groovy #bokeh

A piece of glass, possibly the ornate or decorative lid of a jam or condiments jar: stained and damaged by decades of immersion in the River Thames at Tilbury's 'Clinker Beach'. It is also the very, very secret portal to another dimension, Z-Victor 12, patrolled by Brian Blessed.
