17 Feb: Feast Day of St Fintan of #Clonenagh, Co. #Laois (d. 603). Disciple of St Colum of Terryglass. Didn't even have a cow so they didn't have milk/butter! Monks complained & got one but Fintan carried on with strict diet of barley, bread & water! St Fintan's Tree; custom to insert coins into it!
