This picture is a very close-up image of a poem that has been typed with a vintage Underwood typewriter onto a common, paper, cocktail napkin. The napkin contains 8 lines of a longer poem, titled "Mistaken Identity" which is included below in the post description. Each line has almost the same number of characters and this makes the poem look like almost a perfect square. Also typed at the bottom of the poem is a hashtag for napkindiaries and the initials of the author, "--dbwii" The typeset and the filters have created an effect and texture which makes this look almost as if the words are carved in stone. The word Catarpillar is capitalized and spelled like the word catarrhine. Maybe you can figure out why. You can also see the dimples and texture of the napkin design. The words by line are:
Line 1: You don't even know
Line 2. what you really are
Line 3: like the Catarpillar
Line 4: fearing the heights;
Line 5: watching the flights
Line 6: of butterflies cries
Line 7: "Oh! I'll never go
Line 8: up in one of those!"
Line 9: --dbwii
Line 10: #napkindiaries
I hope that this description was informative and if there is something that I left out, please contact me and I wlll try to make these descriptions more accurate, helpful and entertaining.

This image is a picture of the cover art of a book titled "Napkin Diaries" written by David Patrone. The image is an extreme close-up of a napkin with typed letters in lower-case, courier font. This gives the impression that the letters are pressed deeply into the fabric of a cocktail napkin. Dimples in the napkin are visible on the bottom and right edge of the frame. It is a square image, each line of text has the same number of characters which gives the impression of a dark square of text, centered in the square of the image.
the lines from top to bottom read:
line 1: #napkin
line 2: diaries
line 3: --david
line 4: patrone

This picture is a very close-up image of a poem that has been typed with a vintage Underwood typewriter onto a common, paper, cocktail napkin. The napkin appears yellowed with age, with intricate textured patterns. The napkin contains 5 lines of a longer poem. Also typed at the bottom of the poem is a hashtag for napkindiaries and the name of the author, "david patrone". At the very edge of the lower right-hand corner there is a concave curving series of dimples which suggest to the viewer that this is a napkin. The lines from top to bottom read:

line 1: The Sublime Displays
line 2: don't phase us anymore;
line 3: Beauty only reminds us
line 4: of giving up on,
line 5: who we could have been.
line 6: #napkindiaries
line7: -david patrone
line 8: .

the longer poem can be found at the napkin diaries Instagram; but, I will include it here for your convenience:

That could be us
but no, we're
Quite the cute couple,
sculpted bodies,
soy lattes,
seated facing; but
eyes facing phones
or the morning paper
across the table,
polite or not polite
casual conversations
that never break the veil,
sad reflections of the Truth,
cold companions,
neither in nor out of
this dance of masks
which should only serve
to bring the yearning
into stark relief,
tearing the skin
without reaching the itch,
But no,
so long in this coiffed minuet,
linked only by finger clasp,
no longer flirting with flight,
long forgotten the struggle,
the desperate negotiation;
we don't even peer at the edge,
balancing risk/reward for
a cliff dive into fulfillment,
versus the bloody tumble
and crash of the near miss.
The sublime displays
don't phase us anymore.
Beauty only reminds us
of giving up on
who we might have been.
