The reading at church tonight from Romans hit me right in the feels "For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his. " #CofE

Is it just me or is there a veritable flood of new bishop level appointments going on of late? Every day it seems I see notification of another! Lots of them retiring maybe? #cofe

St John the Evangelist, Elkstone is an absolute gem. How many other churches can boast a gorgeous selection of Norman carvings (tympanum; chancel and sanctuary arches; corbels), plus (tucked away above the chancel) a hidden dovecote?!

Just got back from my cousin Gordon’s funeral. We left the crem to The Pet Shop Boys ‘Go West’. The churchgoers were all singing ’Give Thanks with a Grateful Heart’. The Baggies fans sang ‘Go West (Bromwich Albion)’. Something for everyone #CofE
