Bishop Nick Baines' report on the future of Europe got me thinking (a tad prematurely) about Pentecost. And nationalism.

Hiya #CofePeeps and @opentablelgbt.bsky.social friends
I’ve been asked if there are any inclusive groups meeting in Norfolk/Norwich that are Trans 🏳️⚧️ welcoming.
Sadly there is an ancient chasm between the people of the East Angles and I have no contacts up ‘there’ at all…😉

Second day of post-Easter sniffles 🤧 - #CofEpeeps you know the feeling - so redeeming the time by praying and wire bending a gift for a priest friend who likes ‘shiny’ colours and magnetic beads 📿 ⚓️

#CofEPeeps ✝️⚓️ #CofE I just wanted to say thank you to @pipofsuffolk.bsky.social for creating and running this feed 🙂 Happy Easter everyone!
Emily just asked me if I would like a hot cross bun. Obviously I said yes.
This is, of course, the fourth one I've had since the Dawn Vigil. #cofepeeps
Happy Easter! This is a lovely setting of Matthew 28.1-9, 19-20
Does anyone else have some Easter music they love?

My post on tomorrow's psalm. It's shorter than usual as we had almost the same bit of psalm 118 last week but does include a link to more psalms for Eastertide. Happy Easter when we get there! #CofEPeeps

In the absence of a church to clean, Holy Saturday garden cleaning is happening instead. And very prayerfully. ⚓️ 🌱 Particularly praying for #CofEpeeps as the great feast of Easter approaches.
Time was when I served at the altar for all the Holy Week and Easter services. Later I sang for them all, including Easter Sunday choral evensong. Went on for years. This year I was lucky to get to sing evensong on Palm Sunday. Missing it terribly. I feel guilty for not doing enough. #CofEPeeps
When you're the only non-choir member singing the congregational hymn, there might be a bit of a dependency problem going on between choir and congregation ... #GoodFriday #HolyWeek #cofepeeps 🕯️⚓
Photo of a crate of hymn number cards and Holy day headers, painted white on black (or red on white). We can see the words 'Good Friday' and 'Maundy Thursday' on the cards scattered across the top of an old oak chest with black, iron hinges. To the left is a box inside which we can see a card with 'Easter Eve' on it - hidden slightly, evoking the coming liturgy when Christ bursts from the darkness of the tomb.

OK #cofepeeps. The vicar is ill. We probably won't have clergy for the 6am Vigil Service. How do I, as LLM, manage this? What do I do after the 4 OT readings and psalms? Can I as a lay person do all the Paschal Candle stuff? It appears that we are doing 'pattern A' Vigil... Help!

Today is my first ever BCP1662 Maundy Thursday Communion Service. Which means I am now practising saying the following line without getting a fit of the giggles: “And the paps which never gave suck. … And the paps which never gave suck.” Not succeeding thus far. #CofEpeeps ⚓️
#CofEPeeps I doubt you're wanting to think about Psalms for Eastertide during Holy Week, but I'm still trying to get ahead enough for these to be useful to people who plan ahead, so here's the psalm for Easter 6! psalteryandharp.uk/b/Ju19F

And yes, holy week stops for birthday lunch. Although it is dairy and wheat free, so some might call it penitential.
Folks who are part of the #CofEPeeps feed: obviously we already welcome anyone interested in the CofE, but do we want to widen the welcome to be a UK Anglican/Episcopal Peeps? Or indeed Weird Anglican Bluesky, UK edition? What do you think?
