Let's have a #CoinOfTheWeek! This time we've got the 1928 florin. First florin of George V's fourth coinage, with a mintage of 11,088,000, its obverse was designed by Bertram McKennal and the reverse by George Kruger Gray. This wonderful specimen is a recent addition to the collection!

A little early but let's have a #CoinOfTheWeek! Most common of the George V mintmarked coins, the 1912 'H' penny was made at Heaton Mint in Birmingham, with a total mintage figure of roughly 16,800,000; they comprised about a quarter of the total number of 1912 pennies minted.

Resuming our sadly interrupted feature, the #CoinOfTheWeek this week is the 1932 Florin. This coin, a scarcer piece than most George V issues, has a mintage of only 717,041, and can fetch up to £625 in Uncirculated condition. #numismatics #coinclub #BLSCoinClub

Today's #CoinOfTheWeek: 1858 Gothic florin. The Gothic florin, so called from the style of the inscriptions, was minted from 1851 to 1887. It is the only milled British coin to feature the date in Roman numerals as part of the main design. This one arrived on 21st November.
