Augusto's journey highlights how a supportive learning environment can unlock potential. Starting as a waiter, he found new direction with City Lit’s ITEC Level 3 Diploma in Massage and winning the UCLH Excellence Award in 2025.

It’s #CollegesWeek2026 and we’re celebrating adult learners returning to education and upskilling throughout life.

After a career break, Jodi discovered a passion for welding while volunteering in local workshops. That interest led her to an Apprenticeship at @gowercollege.bsky.social

Simba always loved music, and City Lit’s Percussion Orchestra helped him take that passion further. Through our collaboration with Royal Academy of Music, he’s grown as a musician and performed for packed audiences.
