In 1943, Rodgers and Hammerstein gathered the cast on our lobby staircase to hear a new song that had just written for the "Away We Go." That song was "Oklahoma!," and was such a showstopper that the musical was renamed Oklahoma! before its move to Broadway. (2/5)
