Working on a separated basin within the main reservior. This will allow me to build a bunch of water pumps there that can't drain the reservior duting droughts.
Used this trick on a smaller scale before, decided to go big this time ^^

Talking about aqueducts, I've started work on a new badwater discharge aqueduct. Before I've redirected badtides through a channel that bypassed the lower reservior and dumped badwater into the downstream river, but this is a much better solution :)

The "The Towers" district can be seen in the bottom left of the image, with a tubeway line, continued by a path reaching from the bottom left to the top right of the image. The path ends in a long suspension bridge, which currently connects to nothing on the other side. That bridge's end is inside a large basin which is the perfect spot to block off with a few dams to store a large amount of water. A small dam can already be seen next to the tubeway station, blocking off one of the exits of the basin.

Some first steps to creating the next district. This one will be called "The Dams" for, uh, a reason ^^

This part of the map is still pretty much untouched nature and I really need to change that! :)

Built a new tank that siphons and holds badwater from the main badwater aqueduct. Once the aqueduct is done, the currently empty overhangs will house the badwater pumps that are currently situated at the temporary badwater lake.

It is a massive structure made mostly from overhang pieces, holding the large water channel and being lined on both sides with paths, tubeways and power shafts. The channel is outfitted along its entire length with large water wheels that will provide power in the future.

The downstream section of the main badwater aqueduct is finished!
Now all that's missing is the middle section to connect the two pieces. This one will be a bit trickier cause it needs a bunch of additional infrastructure.

The district buildings are built between three large, flat plateaus and are built up on platforms so they stay dry once the ravines between the plateaus are filled with water. The plateaus are still barren wasteland, but half of the top left one is already greened by the adjacent main reservior.

And here's the district on the flattened plateaus.

The ravines between the plateaus will be filled with water so they become islands to put farms on. To maximize farm space the district buildings are built over the future water, gaining it the name "The Stilts" :)

The raised badwater source has also been surrounded with levies.

This used to be a tall plateau which I bombed all the way down to the level of the main water reservior so I can build a new district with more farms on it :)

And the finished section! Badwater is already flowing through it, allowing me to drain the badwater lake and fill it with water later. The badwater still flows into the large lage below, just now it takes the top route rather than the bottom.
