The sun was just touching the tops of the peaks for this sunrise shot of Mitchell Lake. This entire area is a spectacular collection of photography subject matter from the lakes, mountains, trails, and creeks to the presence of, if you're lucky, MOOSE (some might not think so). It's a bit of a hike, but the path is lovely and the smell of the forest will stir your very soul!

A legendary location that has no shortage of great shots from the location, but this one is mine. Captured right after there was enough light to not trip over your own feet, the clouds and pending storm gave way with just enough light and clearing of the mountain peak to make for an interesting capture. A VERY popular location, people will travel from around the globe for this view. Go early, as the parking lot fills up very quickly.

A wooden bridge crosses over Mitchell Creek as the colors of spring and the scent of the forest beckon you to sit by the edge of the creek and listen. This long exposure softens the water and adds a subtle motion to the scene. Pine trees decorate the forest as far as one can see. The creek seems to have cut its way down the mountain right through boulders and fallen trees. Creating a stunning visual. This trail can also yield danger as well as beauty as Moose are constantly reported in the area. They're not fond of humans and even more danger can be found by taking your dogs. However, the beauty is worth the trip, especially if you arrive at the lake by sunrise, Thanks for stopping by today.
