I interviewed Prof Anne White for the BSN on her research at our annual meeting in Bradford this year. Something that struck me was her investment in the #Postdoc members of her team, using profits from #commercialisation of her work.

SMCL 2025 placée sous le thème de la mode comme forme d’art Ça va groover fort le 8 novembre prochain au @collegelasalle alors que les étudiants en commercialisation de la mode présenteront la 12e édition de SMCL, la Soirée Mode Collège LaSalle. Défilés de mode placés sous le thème de la mode comme forme d’art qui se déclineront en deux concepts distincts : The Pulse of Art et Résonance afin de transformer le podium en une véritable toile de fond bien vivante. J’aime bien le thème choisi, car oui, la mode, ce phénomène, est au sens large du terme une forme d’art. Ces deux prometteurs défilés de mode plongeront littéralement le spectateur dans une symphonie urbaine, où le chaos de la vie en ville se métamorphosera en résonance lyrique bien assumée. De ce fait, chaque mannequin incarnera alors un récit et une expression artistique unique. Parallèlement à ce concept, ce thème explore l’ère de l’intelligence artificielle, réinvente les allures vestimentaires classiques, et ce, à travers le prisme mystérieux de l’IA afin de s’interroger à savoir si la technologie pourra un jour remplacer la profondeur de la créativité humaine. L’an passé, la Soirée Mode Collège LaSalle a accueilli 1200 invités, membres de l’industrie de la mode et les différents médias. Le succès de cet événement repose notamment sur le soutien d’entreprises renommées telles qu’Ardène, Bugatti et le magazine Elle Québec.
