So it's #CommunityGamealong Mecha Month and I had to give this a try. It's a lot of fun! Plenty of rough edges at the moment admittedly but there's absolutely something here.

In the 11th hour, the 31st day, here it is, my #communitygamealong post for portable month! It's Donkey Kong Land the 1st!

Been having some fun doing these little #CommunityGameAlong recaps; feels like a step short of digital scrapbooking.

( It *really* fills out for more arcadey themes like #FighterBrawler month where you can knock something new out in one sitting. )

A 3DS video game system is on a side table along with a green bug of tea, a stylus, and a decorative pumpkin. On the screen is the game Virtue's Last Reward, with the speaking character exclaiming "Yeah! Why am *I* going to die?"

Chaser:
Very cool of said #CommunityGameAlong to make consecutive themes largely able to carry over, because boy howdy am I a reigning champ of starting-but-not-finishing VNs.

A level in the game Save Room by Fractal Projects. Two grids of squares are shown, with various munitions, potions, and an egg occupying spaces, and a heart monitor in the upper-left. The setup is extremely reminiscent of the inventory screen in Resident Evil.

Very cool of folks to implement a version of Resident Evil that strips it down to the bits that interest me:
