3/7 The new legislation will also toughen #sentencing.

It will allow courts to impose #ConsecutiveSentences for violent and #RepeatOffenders, and it will eliminate #ConditionalSentences (serving time at home) for anyone convicted of a sexual offence.

Both Lich and Barber were handed 18-month #ConditionalSentences.

The terms include 12 months of #HouseArrest with limited outings (five hours per week), followed by six months under a 10 p.m. #curfew. They must also each complete 100 hours of #CommunityService.
