I remember that I gave news “from the future” cause in Italy weekend had been in lockdown first of all. Me and Sorriso the Turtle were organising to stay at home together. First #ConfinedCocktails a glass of red wine, first #ConfinedKitchen a risotto of course.
It's also entirely possible that I'm making risotto this weekend, which is almost too much #ConfinedKitchen throwback.
052. Looks like I was looking for a second-hand food book recommendation. One for the #ConfinedKitchen crew! #TabClosed

That sounds an excellent plan, cheers! I have a pre-mix Winter Citrus Negroni, which is very good (Asterley Bros, who also do excellent vermouth and are worth checking out. I have returned to #ConfinedKitchen principles, and am making risotto! #ConfinedCocktails

In memory of #ConfinedKitchen: Xmas Gingerbread Cookies.
Old school #ConfinedKitchen moment earlier when after 4 hours of meetings across the middle of the day I checked whether dinner needed to marinade and discovered it does indeed, for a couple of DAYS.
Which it is not getting. Hrmph.
@melindahaunton.bsky.social have a nice and relaxing evening. I’m fighting hot, standing by tough things on my mum and pretending to be on vacation with the most typical Italian #ConfinedCocktails #ConfinedKitchen: pizza e birra.
But I did a soufflé #ConfinedKitchen. It’s deflating but it quite good.
Just poured a glass of wine for #ConfinedCocktails, to accompany the #ConfinedKitchen classic of mushroom risotto.
Today's walk involved 4 buses and a quick pint while waiting for a connection. Certainly not something I was doing 5 years ago!
Oh lads. Five years is ages, isn't it? I spent some time reading the March 2020 #ConfinedKitchen entries (confinedkitchen.blogspot.com/2020/03/). So very thankful for online company then, and now. Life can't be all wondering alone why Steel has a plunge neck on Gladiators. Though that too.
Evening! It was a very quiet, slow and relaxing Saturday that ends with a negroni in front of birthday flowers (late present by parents) #ConfinedCocktails. Taralli in the oven @girlinthe.bsky.social remembering #ConfinedKitchen: stay tuned!
A tin of brownies cooling on a rack.
Which left time for some baking when I got home (having purchased supplies en route). #ConfinedKitchen
Dinner in fact is the cauli cheese cakes that I first made in May 2020 according to the #ConfinedKitchen. They remain a splendidly quick and delicious staple: confinedkitchen.blogspot.com/2020/05/cher...
A pan contains a slowly simmering soup with stock and sweetcorn. A bay leaf floats in the soup.
For those who remember the days of #ConfinedKitchen, Popcorn soup is happening! #SoupSky
I think even the #ConfinedKitchen of yore would baulk at these #ArchivedIngredients for #JacobinDay ( #HashtagCrossoverFrenzy)
Glass of cranachan topped with raspberry pulp
This would have gone better if I'd checked a recipe midway instead of reading it earlier and vaguely remembering. But still, not bad #ConfinedKitchen #chEUROty
Large tomato and cheese flan, golden and glorious, on a baking tray
(I am behind with Doctor Who and somewhat distrait, but otoh dinner is about to be this magnificent beast. So.)
(Applogies to any #ConfinedKitchen alumni getting flashbacks from this kitchen view)
A head of broccoli held out like a bunch of flowers.
My broccoli contribution for #JacobinDay. Destined for broccoli ripassati later this week (as inspired by Melinda, and #ConfinedKitchen.

Two, I repeat two, parsnip-soup-flying-off-the-end-of-the-stick-blender incidents this evening. My apron needed a wash anyway. The wall behind the stove is cleaner than it’s been for a while. #ConfinedKitchen
Busy colourful plate of salad, cheese, veg as described
Wild times in the #ConfinedKitchen: pineapple pizza salsa w mozz, plantain with garam, salad with pistachio dressing. It's global month, sort of. Which means I'm cooking from Mezcla and a random freebie Aussie cookbook.
A wide, shallow, blue bowl filled with a mixture of chickpeas, lentils, and spinach, and topped with roasted carrots.
A small plastic pot full of cubed, cooked potatoes.
A kilner jar containing pickled red cabbage.
Two baking trays with small golden brown biscuits on them.
Some time in the #ConfinedKitchen. Pickled red cabbage, lebkuchen, and chickpea and lentil daal with roasted carrots. (Also pre cooked potatoes for use later in week).
A golden risotto on a blue plate, with a side of salad leaves.
New dish in the #ConfinedKitchen tonight. Oven baked golden beetroot risotto. Using up veg box supplies.
Watch this space for slow cooker adventures later this week.
Calling the #ConfinedKitchen crew: year-old tinned custard is fine, right?! #ArchivedIngredients
If I can get any turnips today, what’s the next best thing in replacement? #ConfinedKitchen
I have a veritable mountain of homegrown green sage dried and ready to be put in jars, makes excellent herb stuffing/dressing/marinade/whatever. Obvs too late for your Xmas turkey but if any of my pals want some I can post a jar or envelope’s worth to you. DM me #ConfinedKitchen
After only 30 seconds of intro from Stanley Tucci’s programme on @BBCTwo and I want to eat in Liguria. Not so #ConfinedKitchen
Ok #ConfinedKitchen any recs for a dairy-free dessert I can make for the bellringers’ BBQ next week? Looking at you @DebbieFrearson!
Hey #ConfinedKitchen, any recs for what to do with green lentils? Recipes in the massive veg pulses and grains cookbook I’ve borrowed from the library include only red!
Tomorrow’s lunch and four dinners thanks to @KatharineW1947’s chicken soup recipe. Although, extra leek and no carrots so I’m not quite sure what this will be like. No carrots in either the co-op or corner shop, I was not well-prepared enough… #ConfinedKitchen
Calling the #ConfinedKitchen crew! This is my favourite cheese - Wiltshire Loaf. Get it from @BrinkworthDairy.
