100% nailed on cheers to Belgium #ConfinedCocktails
This probably has something to do with the job I'm currently doing, that I am SO excited about my week of annual leave. The OOO is extremely welcome.
#ConfinedCocktails celebrating my forthcoming trip with a souvenir from my last. It's 8.4% and 750ml.
Cheers to getting out and about #ConfinedCocktails
A large glass of white wine on a pub table.
Fun (if chilly) day with friends at a local medieval fayre. Followed by chatting over #ConfinedCocktails in the pub.
Cheers to this most civilized of arrangements #ConfinedCocktails
Colour photo of my right hand holding a glass of beer up to a laptop screen in a toast. On screen a person holds up a glass of dark beer in return.
Additional cheers from Zoom supper with The Oracle! About to commence the review of the evening’s drinks so far and look up the ones we don’t know #ConfinedCocktails
All the cheers to mushroom risotto, quasi-foundational dish of #ConfinedCocktails. And to an excellent outdoor week too.
I am home alone for once on a Saturday night, so taking advantage of my mushroom-hating husband’s absence to cook mushroom risotto. Straight(ish) G&T to go with it. We have had a good week including time with niece & nephew (wild woods were involved, as were booming bitterns) #ConfinedCocktails
Cheers to productive drying, fewer cheer to limited ProQuest access. Obviously let copyright law reign but if there were any #ConfinedCocktails solidarity around... etc etc...
Colour photo of a small green ceramic bowl of black olives and crisps next to a glass of pale yellow brown beer.
Cheers! Been pulling my hair out today trying to find census abstract/summary command papers online, with limited ProQuest access and obscurity about what I’m even looking for for some years. Really struggling with 1841, 1921 and 1931. In other news, it’s been a great drying day! #ConfinedCocktails
Ahhh, nectar de peche au genievre, yes indeed. Cheers to improvisation #ConfinedCocktails
Cheers to northern rhubarb! (and ginger) #ConfinedCocktails
Cheers to a tasty lazy evening, always #ConfinedCocktails
A glass of cloudy liquid with ice cubes on a wooden surface.
This improvised nameless monstrosity is the syrup from a tin of peaches enlivened with gin. It’s better than it sounds. Cheers! #ConfinedCocktails
I am out out up country, with a Rhubarb and Ginger Fizz #ConfinedCocktails
My mum moved on from hospital to a care facility yesterday. Next step. So tonight I’m little lazy for a proper #ConfinedCocktails, so only beer and toast with onion jam.
Btw, if anyone's in Turin this month or for a while, I commend this to you (and say hi to Francesca while you're at it) #ConfinedCocktails
Cheers to every glorious moment of this coping, except the blue cheese. #ConfinedCocktails
Cheers! I have had too much medical stuff this week, but I have this lovely springlike Pink
Sakura, and am making asparagus and blue cheese risotto #ConfinedCocktails
Cheers to stitching and listening #ConfinedCocktails
Unexpectedly chemo free week so have celebrated with a quiet day of sewing, audiobooks, walk in the sunshine, library visit etc. Just water to drink while I sew and listen. Cheers! #ConfinedCocktails
Slightly green flecked golden martini in front of pink flowers
Evening all. I have had a quiet day after a productive week* and it is not often I can say that. Cheers to you all with this Daisy Cutter, because I have leftover mint and it is spring. How are you all doing? #ConfinedCocktails
*I did get slightly hailed on, nothing to signify
“The taste of History. The city and the food in Historical Archives of the City of #Torino”: perfect exhibition for #ConfinedCocktails and #ConfinedKitchen crew. If someone’ll pass through here.
A glass of white wine, a glass of water, a dish of peanuts and a guide to the Scenic Green route.
And a cheeky bank holiday #ConfinedCocktails.
What’s more Easter and spring-like #ConfinedCocktails than this?
White side plate (with chocolate smudge on the rim at 6 to 8 o clock). In the center is half a brownie, split horizontally. Between the two halves is white cream (creame fraiche) and strawberries, although the strawberries spill over to the bottom half of the plate. There's a fork to the right of the plate.
One of our dining plates, cream porcelain with brown wheat stalks in. The plate is loaded with dinner: a jumble of roast potatoes and roast Jerusalem artichokes on the right, a supreme of chicken (basically a skin-on breast with the wingy bit still attached) on the left. The whole thing is smothered in a creamy shallot, mushroom, and vin jaune sauce, with the purple sprouting broccoli perched on top.
We had vin jaune (not pictured) as bonus #ConfinedCocktails, given that we used some of it to make chicken with morels (and roast potatoes & Jerusalem artichokes and PSB) for dinner. Dessert was brownie with creme fraiche and strawberries macerated with sugar, ground coriander, and vanilla.
Total chaos of pans in the background, my hand holding a gold glass full of sparkling wine in the foreground.
#ConfinedCocktails is sparkling wine in front of a pile of washing up that someone else* is doing after Easter Sunday dinner.
*I cooked and did some of the dishes already, so husband gets the washing up.
Long French 75 #ConfinedCocktails, just to finish up a bottle of prosecco, you understand
Cheers to a very serious negroni #ConfinedCocktails
