(Book review) A Fresh Start Margaret Maitland and Stephen Eddington have experienced much in life, some good, some downright unpleasant. This novelette was sweet and lovely. I like that we see things go awry and how each reacts. Stephen's actions in the shop and when a busy body gets to jabbering on about others made me like a man who doesn't have a big personality. He's more of the strong, silent type. As for Margaret, she's been wronged by many. On one hand, I hate that she accepts the cold shoulders, general ire, and sneers people send in her direction. On the other hand, I admire her fortitude. I'm glad we get the back story of how she got where she is. I received an author's copy of the audio book. The narrator, Phillip Battley, was charming to listen to. I'd be happy to listen to him again. 💛🎧💛 Story: 3.5 stars Narration: 3.5 stars Listening Speed: 1.8x H & h = 40s
