Identifying bulbous 🌱 is a minefield, esp. starting with a common name. So I hope someone in the #botany realm can help identify my white 'lily'. Bought years ago as a "Veldt lily" (but it's not a Veltheimia), I hope I'm right with #Crinum moorei, #Natal lily. Flowering now (late Australian summer).
A close-up photograph features a cluster of Spider Lilies with long, slender petals in a striking bi-color pattern of vibrant magenta centers fading to white tips. The delicate, spindly flowers are nestled among textured, dark grey-brown tree branches and sharp, strap-like leaves. The background consists of a dappled, out-of-focus stone surface, creating a high-contrast natural composition.

Red flowers and buds of Crinum 'Emma Jones' / Milk and Wine Lily.
🌱 #Crinum 'Emma Jones' is an older variety and still one of the best reds.
An aquarium with lots of live plants. There are some lambchop rasboras and neontetras swimming about.
A photo of the root of a crinum calamistratum growing in an aquarium. There's a small offspring growing from the side of the plan.
#aquarium update: pruned the plants heavily. Now I'd like to put something on the right side to hide the filter. Bought 8 #caridinamultidentata yesterday, but have seen only one of them since... they're really good at hiding. And #crinum calamistratum has made an offspring 🌱
Another day in the USA, take time to relax, walk outside, feed your soul, stop and smell the flowers
