Dank „Packet Trickery“, wie der Modder es nennt, verstehen sie sich jetzt blendend. iamcxv7 lässt quasi einen Minecraft-Server innerhalb der Hytale-Umgebung laufen und nutzt dabei aus, dass beide Welten im Grunde auf demselben Gitternetz aufgebaut sind. Dann werden ständig Snapshots der Spieler-Positionen hin- und hergeschickt. Dadurch kann man zusammen zocken, egal welches Spiel man gerade gestartet hat. Spieler*innen beider Games können sich gegenseitig sehen (im jeweiligen Grafikstil des Spiels), chatten, bauen und sogar gegeneinander kämpfen.
