Inhibition of epithelial cell YAP-TEAD/LOX signaling attenuates pulmonary fibrosis in preclinical models - Nature Communications Extracellular matrix (ECM) remodeling is a hallmark of fibrosis thought to be driven by mesenchymal cells. Here, the authors discover that YAP-TEAD/LOX axis is activated in distal lung epithelial cells, which contributes to ECM remodeling in pre-clinical models of pulmonary fibrosis.
