Armlet of Strength (Cursed) "A simple metal ring affixed to the upper arm. Warm to the touch and provides a sense of courage when held." Provides +3 physical strength Binds on equip Pride-locked Adventurer Notes: Wearer experiences a growing discomfort with other equipment the longer the armlet is equipped. Metaphysical experiences of chaffing, scratchy sensations, and extreme temperature such as freezing or burning on the skin wherever equipment is worn. Full effects experienced within 5 hours of equip. Wearer experiences a sense of pleasure, followed by a heat building inside of them that scales with each piece of equipment removed while under this effect. Tooltip: Curse is 'Pride-locked'. It is immune to all forms of dispelling and can not be removed until properly unlocked. A variant of more traditional curse fulfillment criteria, a Pride-locked item must be unlocked via a simple passphrase spoken aloud in the presence of a sufficient (in the case of the Armlet of Strength, 20) amount of conscious witnesses. The passphrase is intuitively known by the wearer and reports claim the phrase repeats in their mind more and more frequently as the curse progresses without being unlocked. The passphrase is rarely the same between subsequent Users of the cursed item, though they often share a similar theme. Known previous passphrases for the Armlet of Strength include:

The following is not considered necessary reading but offers additional context for the fates of the few known previous victims of the Armlet of Strength's curse. Orella removed the armlet and glared at the group around her before bursting forward and grabbing two of them to take to a nearby inn. Rumors arose that (region removed) became a hotspot for new adventurers as a powerful Night's Blade whore would service them at a moment's notice and without a word of complaint. The unnamed 'living armor' curse victim ran away mortified by her words. Rumors claim she's been spotted petrified in a local dungeon. Many claim that's "close enough" and while an order for a softening elixir has been placed, no one's in much of a rush since she's a pretty sight. (Bystander) claims business is booming! And he's very thankful for the surprise offer from (Curse victim name removed).
