Our fire service is already stretched to its limits. Without proper investment from the Scottish Government, the current model will continue to struggle, and our communities will be the one to pay the price.

Under these proposals, crews would be moved over 3 miles away, leaving Edinburgh East facing slower response times and greater risk to public safety.

The equation is simple:
Budget cuts = fewer firefighters = increased response times = increased risk to public safety
