Hey #ChronicIllness and #Disability Sky! I'm conducting research on #CyclicVomitingSyndrome for my master's thesis, which is a hybrid memoir about my experience living with CVS as a medically complex patient. I'd like to include a cross-section with others' experiences using this survey. Pls share!
In a few days I will be getting my third #DepoProvera shot. This is what sent my #CyclicVomitingSyndrome into remission: Iโve not had an episode in almost six months!
With the help of my wife and a long journey to diagnosis and recovery, I can answer a lot of questions about #CyclicVomitingSyndrome if anyone ever needs help here.
Update: The cocktail worked again! So grateful we seem to have found something to stop the vomfest once the prodrome hits. Many people with #CyclicVomitingSyndrome aren't so lucky.
If you're a physician interested in learning more on #CVS, there are guidelines for both the adult & pediatric pop'ns.
#CyclicVomitingSyndrome mgmt festivities:
On Dasher!
Ondansetron!
On Prancer and Vixen!
The name of a key medicine in our CVS arsenal/cocktail also causes visions of cyborg, "Transformer"-like reindeer to dance(-etron) in my head.
๐คhope the cocktail works.
