Few maps have changed as much as #Swansea (North) 1897, from one set of uses to another.
Unlike housing estates marching across fields, farms & forests, today’s map has radically altered from heavy industry into light shopping and entertainment. The beautiful #Cymric names are still there though.

Three solid white six-month-old kittens are sitting and/or standing on a parquet wood floor. They’re gathered around a pair of white sneakers with rainbow shoelaces that appear to have been worn to walk through mud. The Norwegian Forest Kitten is looking at the camera, the Cymric Kitten is sniffing one of the shoes, and the Manx Kitten is looking downward. And yes, I know… Breckenridge isn’t REALLY a Norwegian Forest Cat. But we could always get away with that little story embellishment because, back-in-the-day, nobody had ever heard of “Norwegian Forest Cats.” Now… they’re ALL OVER Bluesky. Sigh.

These were my mom’s beloved “Triplets” that were born on HER mother’s birthday. I had mentioned them yesterday in a reply. (l-r) Breckenridge (Norwegian Forest Cat), Erma (Cymric), and Harrison (Manx Cat).

A longhaired white Manx Cat (a Cymric) lies Sphinx-like on a wide windowsill. She has her head cocked and looks into the camera with cerulean-blue eyes. She’s so stinkin’ cute that she’s probably the cure for whatever ails Mankind.

As a palate cleanser from the previous spider photo… here is a photo that is so cute it will give you a sugar-high.

This is Erma, she was my mother’s beloved Cymric (longhaired Manx.) She named her after HER mother (my grandmother.)
