The floppy drive!

A character special device for the drive appears at `/dev/disk/usb/1/0/raw`.
Here I have a hexdump of the first 16×10 bytes of the disk I inserted (the GCDC disk in my other post).
I tried multiple times, and would hear the typical floppy spindle moaning noise each time.
I streamed the first 512 bytes of `raw` into the file command, and it identified it as a DOS/MBR boot sector, which makes sense to me. So, it seems to work in Haiku but with no proper userspace support (other than this char special file)? Gonna keep searching. Just glad Haiku can operate the drive.

I got the #floppy drive for my Dell #D630 !

First try booting the Windows 98 boot disk in my other post failed due to an I/O error, but all other attempts have worked (it booted up :O ).

Picked up some #‌‌​floppyDisk s at a #garageSale for a buck!

I also bought a floppy drive for my trusty Dell #D630 laptop's module bay. I'll be taking class notes on these... or at least backing my notes up to them so the drive doesn't make too much noise […]
