I got some tunnels to put up this year, not only for the weather protection but to keep the #DamnVarmints out. Lost all my cauliflower last year to I don't know what, probably a bug, slugs or cabbage moth, could be chipmunks. The tops never formed flowers, just nubby stumps. All getting covered!

Carrots are harder than they look, especially because you are fighting moisture, temp, & #DamnVarmints all at same time. Potatoes I HIGHLY recommend not planting in the ground but in potato bags! Waay easier & less space. Nestle chitted potatoes on top of straw/compost, fill as they grow up. Easy! 🌱

Right?? And they don't even flinch when you walk up to them and yell at them. They just look at you as if to say "yeah, what are you going to do about it bitch?" I hate those #DamnVarmints! I want the coyotes & foxes to come back. They controlled them well during the first year of COVID

I have daffs planted too. I've tried all the sprays. I just hadn't realized they'd popped up yet, just got out there with the Bonide hot pepper wax spray, which works the best for me on keeping them from nibbling. I use liquid fence, plantskyyd, all the repellents, mix it up #DamnVarmints

Gah, just killed myself. Shuttling the outdoor furniture cushions to the upstairs bedroom where they will live for the winter season. I gave up on outdoor patio after discovering the raccoons had taken over the sectional. Full sanitation of in progress, everything washed & sprayed. #DamnVarmints

Well that 1 hour lunchbreak to pull in outdoor cushions turned into a lot more thanks to #DamnVarmints! Raccoons decided that was their spot. So much cleanup underneath the sectional, removing covers to be sent for drycleaning, sanitizing everything. God I hate them so much!!

So I've been looking for motion activated scare things that will make the raccoons move on and not poop under my spruce tree & there isn't really anything other than sprinkler ones which leak water. I need sound/motion activated coyote urine sprayers. Anyone want to build one? #DamnVarmints

Then I look and the trap was missing, assuming another varmint must have been caught & they were feasting on that, dragged it somewhere. Took me a while to find it at bottom of garden. Where other random bunny parts were too & also the raccoon latrine. Yay. #DamnVarmints 🧵

So the #DamnVarmints were at it again last night. I've been trapping chipmunks (they burrow under the foundation & I've got enough problems). I put them out for the raccoons & possums to dispose of. So they did that but also left some additional bunny parts there.🧵

I've taken to picking all my tomatoes green because of the #DamnVarmints. I used to have more Hawks around me but there are too many blue jays here now & I think they've tired of the fighting.

Well the #DamnVarmints have struck my tomatoes again, this time they decimated at least 10 or more green ones! And I can't even salvage seeds, the entire inside is gone! Pretty sure its the chipmunks but could be possum or raccoons too. #DAMNVARMINTS!!!
