The #DMVMoves meeting started with public comment from economic thought leaders and members of the community, with many sharing their support for dedicated funding that would keep Metro operating at optimal levels into the future and drive the economy across the DMV.

My vote on #DMVMoves is YES. It is critical that Maryland, Virginia, and DC commit together to fund @wmata.com.
Solving @wmata.com’s capital cliff can’t be a hostage to other policy priorities, such as dedicated operating funding, future workforce, etc. Nothing is more important to keeping #wmata safe and reliable.

I saw multiple #DMVMoves comments arguing that the proposed resolution does not do enough, and I wholeheartedly also want the region to do more. However, where I differ is that I do not believe in allowing perfect to be the enemy of good.
The need to do more is not a reason to not act, or do less.
