Several full S9 buses passed my stop today, and I got discouraged - but then a relief bus came to our rescue! I think i can even make my next meeting on time, right before the rain 😅 #YourMetro #wmata

Fun to visit with the real 1 percenters who got a special tour of the @wmata.com control center & some fun Metro merch. These customers had the most rides in the Metro Rewind year in review. #yourmetro is the community’s system and we love seeing people who care and value it so much.

Over the weekend, #YourMetro team tackled concrete repairs between Eastern Market and Cheverly/Addison Road as part of the Aerial Structures Rehabilitation Project. Crews used jackhammers to remove old, defective concrete and laid blankets to dry new concrete in colder temperatures.

#YourMetro team completed track work on the Blue, Orange, and Silver lines between Foggy Bottom and McPherson Sq. Here, crews removed old forms and applied concrete evenly with hand tools. Regular maintenance provides a long-term solution for maintaining the structural integrity of our system.

During the weekend, #YourMetro team completed switch replacement on the Red Line at Friendship Heights to make sure trains can move smoothly from one track to the other. Crews also sealed water leaks between Medical Center and Van Ness. #wmata
