We finally have our DSLR Scanning Tables available again! Available for 35mm, 120 and 4x5. If you need a solution for all formats, we still recommend our Raleno S116-based system. Coming soon is our solution for the CS-Lite as well!

Layered photo with several exposures of the same film negative. Most dominant in the picture is four persons standing on wet-land ground next to a small lake. One of them is lifting up an unindentifiable dark object from the shore line. Other exposures add vague shapes, including a table lamp inside one person, and a window in the sky. The tones are washed out, mostly pale green, cyan sky, and some magenta glow here and there.

The art of the accidental – third and, for now, the last post
I am not fully sure if this 35mm film frame was exposed just twice or three times. Moreover, the film sat on my shelf in total probably six years before getting developed a few months ago – which made […]

Overlay of three different photos shot on the same negative. In foreground there is a woman facing right, standing perhaps on a roadside, in summer clothing. In background there is a shot at some grassy plants or a meadow, producing a leafy layer in most of the picture. In the bottom one can see there was a third exposure too, which seems to have been of a forest, but not much is visible from that photo. The tones are pastel, the background is a mix of pale green and sepia. The human is close to realistically coloured, but in washed out tones.
The art of the accidental – a variation of the previous post
Same subject as previous one; this film frame was exposed I think three times. Moreover, the film sat on my shelf in total probably six years before getting developed a few months ago.
On this one the […]

Overlay of three different photos shot on the same negative. In foreground there is a woman looking at the camera and smiling, standing perhaps on a roadside, in summer clothing. Background there is, firstly, a landscape in 90 degree angle: sky is on the the right edge of the image. There is an edge of a forest, and possibly a meadow or wetland in front of it, but details are hard to tell. Secondly, a shot at some grassy plants or a meadow is underlying everything, producing a leafy layer everywhere in the picture. The tones are pastel, the background is a mix of pale green and sepia. The human is close to realistically coloured, but in washed out tones.
The art of the accidental!
This film frame was exposed I think three times. Moreover, the film sat on my shelf in total probably five to six years before getting developed a few months ago. Sounds like an unusable mess – which some of it also was, but there are […]

Black and white photo, with bit of film edge showing. In middle a building, mostly showing a plank-built slope roof running down almost to the ground. Foreground is a meadow, in background there is a forest.
Just some photo grain here.
Savvaļa, Latvia. The base. Savvaļa is an artist-run environmental art project – a beautiful and magical place that I will surely post more pictures from later on.
I'm here now also for advice. This is where I have progressed with my project to learn DSLR […]

Film scanning at home - losing track of which iteration I'm at. But seeing progress!
This one uses a speedlight diffused through an AC attachment.
Strongly recommend using slide film when setting up your rig. So much easier to focus.

Didn't expect but am fully savouring the dieselpunk aesthetic of my film scanning rig.
Reminded me of this 6x4.5 shot I took of a railway bridge in London

So trying to scan film at home is an absolute pain. Keeping the film and camera exactly level is the worst part, before we even get into the <1mm depth of field. Lens is still good but yikes
