Our playgroup wants to play more fun cards over powerful ones. This got me thinking: what makes a commander game fun? Can we make a scoring system to determine who made the match the most fun for everyone? Impossible to do, but a fun thought experiment.

During the Arena midweek challenges, I only encounter 2 types of decks. The most optimised decks, that are build specifically for the challenge. And the quickly thrown together decks just to get some wins and collect the prizes. I always have the second type.

Love the B&R announcement, especially modern. Looks like it will improve the format a lot. At least early on there will be a lot of new/returning decks. Lets hope it stays fun and not converge back to where we were.

Friends and I were talking about magic and that we should do a draft again soon. I have a box of Baldur's gate and mystery booster 2 waiting for this. The rest of the day I spend looking up possible pulls and archtypes. I love drafting so much.

My playgroup recently were talking about the "good old times" (when we first started playing commander), and our first commander decks. I don't remember what my first commander was and it is bugging me for days now. Probably lost to time... 😓

Getting really excited about the upcoming ban announcements. I don't play any eternal format, I just love the resulting gameplay videos. People playing old archtypes or new builds and being very excited to play their favorite format again.

Just for fun I made a pauper brawl deck on Arena (only commons, uncommon commander). I got paired against some crazy decks. Either arena thinks Annabelle is best commander ever printed or their matchmaking algorithm still needs some work.

The Bazaar got me terribly hooked. Almost forgot to log in to Arena for a quick daily win and quest check. Atleast all my thoughts about The Bazaar is how to improve my drafting skills. Magic experience still not wasted!

When our playgroup started playing commander (before the first precons), it was all about fun stuff and weird cards. Then we started to push powerlevel. Now we are back at fun stuff, often with precons. Love how we change, and magic changes with us.

Finally had enough gold to start another foundations draft on arena. Draft was bad and the games even worse. Went 0-3 and now I have to wait about a week or so to try again. Limited it is great, but sometimes it sucks. The F2P grind continues...

I started building a new commander deck a couple days ago. Started with some basics: Command Tower and Arcane Signet. Almost done and realised it's a mono colored deck. Tower and Signet are not very useful. I need to get out of autobuilding mode I guess 🤔

I only play on arena, commander with friends and the occasional prerelease. Besides a bunch of commander decks, I also have a legacy, modern and Dandan deck and a box of jumpstart packs. Recently I started looking into building a cube. Just magic things...

Daily mtg thought: Opening arena on your phone to try to swap a 500 gold quest for a 750 gold one. Followed by playing a Azusa brawl deck with 95 forest to get your "play 40 lands" quest. Keeping up the F2P grind. #DailyMtgThought #mtg
