One of the few #Dampiera is saw, which are hard not to see cause they are so damn vibrant! I am leaning on D. lavandulacea, which is a widespread species growing in a wide variety of habitats.

It may have wings but it can’t fly (the quail I spooked accidently near by did tho…) this is the winged stemmed Dampiera, #Dampiera alata. It’s a wide ranging southwest species found growing in a variety of habitats, this one growing on a hillslope on lateritic soils.
