I danced the dance of my people. I danced it defiantly. I danced it exultantly. I danced it challengingly. I danced it joyfully. I danced it for me, for you, for the people of my world and the people of yours. I danced in the streets, and in the houses. I danced as if daring them to stop me. And, eventually, they did. At first I took this as oppression, evidence that my kind would never be welcome here. But then they explained it was actually all the knives - I was making people nervous swinging them around.
