Today is UN International Day of Hope & also SIGBI Day of Action. So at today’s regional meeting Jill, the Region’s Programme Action Officer made a presentation on what both these days meant to Soroptimists. Each of us wrote down our own hope for the future on labels.

Today, we celebrate the International #DayOfHope for the first time.

We recognize #Kiribati 🇰🇮 for shining a light on this critical matter as they led this historical resolution adopted by the UN on 4 March 2025.

The #USA voted against a #UN #DayOfHope resolution which recognizes "the need for a more inclusive, equitable and balanced approach to economic growth that promotes sustainable development, poverty eradication, happiness and hope for all peoples” because of the words “inclusive” and “equitable.”
