An amazing group of students from St. Mary High School’s Drama Leadership Program volunteering today at our #DeMazenodDoor Friday BBQ! This year, they're focusing on the poor and marginalized, preparing a special play featuring this ministry's story. Inspiring hearts and building community!
This weekend reflection (see Luke 14:1.7-14)… In a world that overlooks the poor, Jesus invites us to honor them. As St. Eugene de Mazenod said, “Know your dignity.” At God’s table, every soul has worth beyond measure.

I’m grateful for the opportunity to pray the Ecumenical Social Justice Stations of the Cross today. #HamOnt #GoodFriday St. Patrick Parish @stpatshamilton.bsky.social and #DeMazenodDoor led a moving reflection on the reality of homelessness - where Christ still suffers, and love is still needed.
At St. Patrick’s #DeMazenodDoor Outreach, it’s tradition to serve BBQ every Friday - except one. On #GoodFriday, it’s Fish & Chips! 🐟🍟 The kitchen is buzzing, the spirit is alive, and our volunteers? Absolutely amazing. THANK YOU for your compassion and service! 💚🙏
On Holy Thursday, Jesus washed the feet of his disciples — a powerful reminder that love is shown in humble service. Our #DeMazenodDoor Outreach volunteers live that example as they prepare lunch for our guests. THANK YOU for your witness of compassion and care!

It ties into my homily this weekend: Life isn’t just black and white - mercy adds colour. When the world says “fight or walk away,” mercy finds a third way.
When a snowstorm kept many volunteers home, this incredible crew stepped up without hesitation! True community isn’t just about showing up when it’s easy - it’s about showing up when it’s needed most. Thank you! ❤️ Our #DeMazenodDoor Outreach is open to feed the hungry even during the snowstorm ❄️☃️
It’s heartbreaking news for me personally. 💔 As shared in last weekend’s bulletin @stpatshamilton.bsky.social , #DeMazenodDoor Outreach Board has decided to refocus on #DeMazenodFarm agriculture rather than animal care. They will rehomed our large animals so our team can fully focus on farming.
The Diocese of Hamilton is already doing a great job supporting outreach ministries and addressing social justice issues in the city and beyond. Check out #DeMazenodDoor and #DeMazenodFarm at @stpatshamilton.bsky.social. You can also watch a video about their work here: youtu.be/FxbPM8LtuuQ?...
