Rook goes THROUGH it, and this piece to me taps into Rook at the height of her regrets and the overwhelming sense of responsibility that’s been building up throughout the story at that point. The hand placements and who goes where all has a meaning in terms of effect, such as; Her team is a grounding force (also, physically pulling her out of the fade) especially Lucanis -holding on with two hands- as her uncertainty about the state of her lover after Tearstone Island while trapped in the regret prison is a big motivator to keep moving. Solas/Varric twisting her sense of reality (being in her head). Bellara and Viago reaching from afar (Bell dismantled the wards, Viago-Andromeda’s father figure- back in Treviso awaiting her return) and Harding not reaching at all (‘whatever it takes’💔)
